Charlestown Harbour | 26 December 2025
There are few things that make you feel more alive than plunging into icy winter water, surrounded by cheers, laughter, and the shared madness of hundreds of people doing exactly the same thing. The Charlestown Boxing Day Swim is back — and this year, we’re inviting you to take the leap for something bigger than yourself.
Registration is now open, and this year we’re supporting a cause truly close to home: Young People Cornwall — an organisation working every day to support, encourage and empower young people across our county. From youth projects and safe community spaces to mentoring, mental health support and opportunities to thrive, their work is changing futures right here in Cornwall.
🫶 Minimum Sponsorship: £10
Just £10 is enough to get you signed up, but we encourage everyone to raise as much as they can. Every pound makes a difference. Every pound helps a young person find hope, confidence, direction, or simply someone to talk to.

Why Swim?
Because Boxing Day isn’t just about shaking off the Christmas dinner and braving the cold. It’s about community. It’s about tradition. It’s about choosing to do something bold and joyful when most people are still in their pyjamas wondering how many leftover roast potatoes they can manage.
It’s about looking at the harbour, taking a deep breath, and thinking, “Yes. I can absolutely do this”, and then doing it.
Make it Count
- Rope in friends, family, or colleagues
- Wear fancy dress if you’re feeling brave
- Challenge someone to beat your fundraising total
- Share the link and spread the word
The bigger we go, the bigger the impact we can make for Cornwall’s young people.
We want to see that harbour full — of colour, smiles, energy, and the unforgettable chaos that only Charlestown on Boxing Day can deliver. Whether you swim every year, or this is the moment you finally decide “this is my year”, we’ll be right there cheering you on.
Let’s turn cold water into warm futures.
